I stumbled on some gloriously weird 70’s shit the other night while searching for Runaways clips.
Check this out it absolutely confirms that the 1970’s were not just another decade, they were another dimension.
You wanna see the Runaways, Anne Murray, various Jacksons, Tanya Tucker race? of course you do! The full episode that you can find elsewhere introduces various Commodores, ELO-sters and Rod Stewart, amongst others into the mix.
No spoilers, but don’t ever bet against Sandy West in anything … ever!
This programme needs an immediate revival.
1240 Down (still).

Bizarre and oddly fascinating.
I watch any kind of sport. Lemmy and Beefheart in a foot race would be a watch. Dont mess with Bob Weir, the guys in shape.
I want the Mink de Ville vs. Tav Falco strut off.
We’ll all meet in the ‘Smoke Pit’ after the race.
This is just effing awesome…
That is kind of awesome. We used to have these fun shows called Battle of the Network Stars back then, you could never get actors to do that today.
The British equivalent was a sports-based one called Superstars where sports folk would compete at all sorts; totally undoable now for insurance reasons!
I remember watching this show back in 1978. It was only shown once and it introduced me to The Runaways.
That’s really cool. Not as cool as Joan Jett, but nothing is!
That’s true.
It was the first time, a female group really managed to rock the guys into the corner.
