Thank you Mike, I was really very proud of it – I think I captured the essential ‘woodness’ of the door frame just right … in blue pen. i’m particularly pleased some other guys liked it too, thank you for showing them.
No worries! My work buddies are not music fans, but they do love that kind of humour. We then re-watched the trailer. The weird thing is it only makes me want to watch the real movie.
Me too, but I really think that was such a clever thing to do with it – especially to sneak that kiss scene in there. I think I’d be disappointed to see it now and not find it a heart-warming family film!
For me it’s the kid on that tricycle. Floor carpet floor carpet. So creepy, so well done.
I like it!
I watched it again and just howled with laughter, again.
I would have used that for the original trailer back when it was released. I just watched it again also. Addictive!
Peter Gabriel was asked to write a similar song for the Shining.
The working title was ‘Climbing over my last kill.”
Oh, you!
Haha, that was great. I’ve just seen the original too, as I’ve just gotten into Kubrick.
I know! I think that was just pure genius!
Loved this. Absolute genius. I really want to see that version of the film …
Isn’t it just?! I’d love to see it and just come away from it happy that Danny had found a real nice dad, who’d finished his book.
This is pure genius. It just goes to show what a little editing and well-used pop song can do to sell a movie.
I know! I’ll never hear Solsbury Hill quite the same way again.
All work and no play makes Joe something something.
My next post is me just typing that in different fonts for 2 weeks solid.
I would read that next post but I think I have a prior engagement.
I had to share this one. It’s like if Wes Anderson directed The Shining.
I forgot to comment on this the other day. I showed the guys at work your excellent Jack Torrence Lego art. They loved it!

I will watch this later with a glass of REDRUM
That scene almost made my son fall off the couch!
I remember seeing that playing in a department store tv way back when I was a young punk. Creepiest thing I had ever seen up until that point.
That’s well done, may have laughed out loud when Solisbury Hill came in to add a bit of extra heart-warming!
Just a good heart-warming family tale. I think Solsbury Hill is the funniest bit of it too.
