Sad news today that Robert ‘Throb’ Young, founding member and erstwhile guitar hero of Primal Scream has passed away aged 49. I saw him with Primal Scream three times and saw them without him once after he left in 2006, you can guess which time Mrs 1537 and I walked out of after 15 minutes. He always seemed like the one who brought the rock to Primal Scream, was a dextrous and interesting guitarist and rocked a mean pair of leather trousers.
The man had ‘Heart & Soul’ tattooed on his arm – that’ll do.
