I’ve been sparse recently, apologies dear reader.
Sister Anne don't give a damn about evolution
She's a liberated woman, she's got her solution
Today I had one of them spontaneous overflows of powerful emotion that them there romantic poets used to wang on about in those blessed tutorials of sacred memory.
At lunchtime I was very contentedly walking through Liverpool on a beautiful Autumnal day, sun shining as well it might after a few days of rain. I was swinging a bag from Dig Vinyl (full) in my right hand when the God of random plays selected ‘Sister Anne’ by MC5 for me.
Wow. I must not have heard it for a couple of years and it just became the perfect song at the perfect time for me. It was all I could do not to dance, and I had to content myself with smiling like a fool and adding a little extra sexy hip sway into my walk.
I listen to a lot of tunes on the fly and just occasionally you get an immaculate conjunction of right time, right place and sound. It makes life worth the price.

Sitting eating my sandwiches with ‘Sister Anne’ on its fifth repetition later I just feasted my eyes on the stunning view of St Georges Hall, Lime Street and the attendant vista, with the Christmas markets and funfair setting up in the distance.
Life = good.
You know this already but what a fucking great song.
Such truth, such beauty, such purity
She wears a halo around her head
She's got the Ten Commandments tattooed on her arm
If she died she'd rise up from the dead

1294 Down (still).
Boss. Kick out the jams, la.
I see what youse did there.
God I love they MC5 record
It was such a perfect song to hear unexpectedly yesterday. I’m still slightly high from it.
You’re right, it is a fabulous song. I’ve always been to see Liverpool but want to even more now.
Are you actually expecting us to believe that in Liverpool the sun comes out in November? Well pack my suitcase!
A rare aberration that has subsequently been put right!
