So there I was reading a brilliant blog last week when I noticed something about the little chap that seemed to crop up in all the pictures – see if you can spot it too, the first picture was from February 2013, the second one from recent-er:
An almost complete T-shirt fade. No longer was the tee a clever graphic-equaliser style lego head picture, it was just a few squiggles. That’s clearly what three years of handling does to you.
Meet the new me, same as the old me. Surely with my army of lego clones total world domination can only be hours away for me?
702 Down (still).
I remember that first post. I think that was the first 1537 post I ever commented on. I think I picked up my copy of ‘Dopesmoker’ not long after that.
I’d give you a big man hug if you were here. You know, one of those ones that guys are permitted to give.
Proof how much you fondle your Lego…
Or maybe I just have uncommonly sweaty fingers? yuk.
If the Lego army is indeed invading, then I’m going to have to act like a stereotypical American and keep an Uzi in every room of my house.
I’m shocked that you don’t already – I thought that was just how folk lived in Gloucestershire!
Really, maybe in Gloucester of Cheltenham but Stroud is the CND, Recycling, Fair Trade capital of Britain!
Careful, a lot of those recycling dudes be packing heat.
I think the lack of face on the Richard Hell pic is more concerning than the faded T!
Hey, you’ve created a limited edition. Pension fund sorted!
Absolutely, I wonder if I can trade on my fading looks to the same effect too?
Dude, you’re not ‘limited’, you’re unique.
It looks like an EKG rhythm strip. Fitting.
I’m prepping with other survivalists for the world domination.
Stock up on crossbow bolts, canned food and Lego.
The bolts hadn’t occurred to me! Noted.
I quite like the idea of him having a faded tee, that’s the stuff of the aging rocker surely?… so was Sleep the first album you reviewed then?
No, my daughter had just got the figure and I put it on the cover on a whim, I was gawping at it at the time. Thus, a legend was born.
